Lineage 2 Skills - Read about L2 Skills

When it comes to new skill system in Lineage 2 lore, you have a lot of them. Every one of them is unique and epic, so the community of players is pleased with the fresh wind of the game. Locations, tools and a lot of activities are also freshened and made very special.

Lineage 2 Skills system

Every character class can choose from a variety of different powers. They are basically two types of them: physical skills and magic skills. Player’s parameters define power of a certain skill. If you play human classes you have to make sure you have enough STR parameter (for example warriors and rogues). Those statistics give a huge powerup to their physical damage. It’s very important to pay attention to stats, because they determine how your build is going to perform.

Note: Each class of characters has certain types of armor that you can boost by a corresponding passive skill.

Parameters

INT parameter defines power of magic skills, so when playing Dark elf mage or a human race mage, you have to invest in it. Those classes are more mobile and let you decide whether you’d like to become a mage or a fighter. Not all of them are like that, because being a dwarf won’t let you only play fighter or a summoner. Every one of the classes and subclasses in Lineage 2 have their own special activities and features. To see them, click Alt+H (hotkey) and you’ll open the skills tool.

Resources and cooldowns

Main active skills are physical skills, magic skills and auras. They consume your Magic Points or Health Points, so make sure you have enough of them to cast a spell. Some of them has a built-in cooldown, which length can vary. Also they sometimes have a radius in which they can be used. Some spells (like Hawkeye or Burst Shot) can be cast on groups of players and they affect all of them. If you want, you can make changes to your set of skills using the skills enchanting system.

Note: To start enchanting your skills you have to be after third class transfer. This system works in a different way than skill upgrades. It lets you decide the direction of your improvements. It also requires specific items, called Codexes.

Magic skills are buffs and battle magic

Buffs strengthen the hero (or all the members of his party), while debuffs weaken him. Auras you can turn on and off when you wish. They also can consume your resources (HP or MP) and they get disabled when you run out of them.

More

Races, quests and classes are all connected to skills. If you want us to create more content around a specific topic, like how to use skills for Kamael or what parameters gain when playing Warlord, Knight, Sorcerer or Paladin, give us a sign. Specific abilities or builds (like Orc Raider, Orc Shaman Overlord, Elven Wizard, Phantom Summoner, Phantom Ranger or Temple Knight) or are also a great subject for an article, so feel free to ask for guides and we can create them.
